Manroland Value-added Printing with Automatic Color Control

Reduce cost and save time are two important advantages of the on-line color control system. Manroland's new InlineColorPilot is such a powerful system. It can improve the quality of printing, reduce the waste of substrates, and increase the environmental efficiency of printed substrates. The printer no longer needs to take prints from the delivery device and then have an off-line system to control the colors, saving time.
Another example of manroland's value-added printing concept is the integration of color control functions. In-line automatic ink supply control devices can further improve production efficiency and production quality. In the large-format printing press, the on-line automatic ink supply and control device ensures continuous quality control and ensures the process stability during the entire production process. It is a fully automatic quality monitoring process.
Improve quality and reduce start-up time
In particular, operators of large-format sheet-fed printing presses regularly take color sheets out of the delivery device for off-line color control, which is a very time consuming operation. In order not to affect the function of paper stacking, removing paper or cardboard with a width of 1.85 meters from the delivery device and putting it on the measuring table is a highly skilled operation, and sometimes it is also a strong physical operation. In a press equipped with an in-line slitting device to cut the printed sheets in half, the time and labor required would be doubled. In-line automatic ink-supplying guides measure and adjust ink density directly on the press during production, eliminating the need to take printed sheets for color control. Its greatest advantage is to ensure that the print quality of all prints is uniform throughout the entire printing process, which greatly reduces the labor intensity of the operator and allows the operator to pay more attention to other operations. Inline automatic ink supply control device is installed behind the impression cylinder of the last printing unit. According to the width of the printing machine, up to 15 sensors can be firmly installed in the entire system to record the value of the printed sheet on the impression cylinder. . The system can measure and adjust the ink volume of up to 7 printing units. The on-line automatic ink supply control device can measure all the ink zones at one time, and only 3 consecutive print sheets are required for the first measurement. The first automatic adjustment can be performed after 40 sheets. In a networked printing plant, the pre-setting and evaluation of the printing process can take place anywhere in the network. As an option, Inline Automated Inkjet Control can be bundled with Bruner Systems' okBalance® color control feature to focus on monitoring gray balance.

(In the upcoming drupa 2008 exhibition, the on-line automatic ink supply control device installed on a large-format press will be displayed for many visitors for the first time)
