The sand-filled pipeline is constructed with a dual-layer structure, consisting of an inner lining layer and a reinforcement layer. The inner lining is primarily made up of a surface-resistant felt, alkali-free jet yarn, and Jinling DSM food-grade unsaturated polyester resin. This layer has a resin content of 80%, glass fiber content of 20%, and a thickness of approximately 2.5 mm. The reinforcing layer is wound in both spiral and circumferential patterns using computer-controlled technology. It consists of alkali-free yarn, quartz sand, and phthalic resin, with 20% quartz sand and 80% combination of glass fiber and resin. The thickness and winding angle are determined based on the specific usage requirements, designed accordingly, and then input into the system for production.
Thanks to its advanced properties, the sand-filled pipeline offers excellent resistance to chemical corrosion and oxidation, far surpassing that of traditional metal materials. As a result, it can be used for extended periods in acidic, alkaline, and other corrosive soil environments. Its inner surface is smooth, resistant to mold, scale, and maintains good water quality, ensuring no secondary pollution of drinking water. This type of FRP sand pipe has been widely used abroad for over 50 years, with well pipes and water filter pipes produced in China during the mid-1960s still in good condition and operational today. Additionally, FRP pipes have outstanding thermal insulation properties, with a thermal conductivity only one-tenth that of steel, eliminating the need for additional insulation. Even in cold northern winters, the pipeline won’t freeze or crack, reducing accidents and improving the reliability of the entire system. These pipes also feature excellent waterproofing and corrosion resistance, making them ideal for a wide range of applications.
When selecting aging-resistant materials for various types of waterproofing solutions, such as aging-resistant asphalt-based waterproofing rolls, it's essential to consider the specific needs of the project. The choice of roofing waterproofing materials should take into account factors like the required service life of the waterproof layer, cost-effectiveness, and overall performance. The appropriate grade and thickness must be carefully determined, whether using a single layer or combining multiple layers, to ensure reliable, durable, and economical waterproofing. It’s also important to meet the construction quality standards set by the contractor when applying these materials. Some newer waterproofing products now come in different colors, allowing for aesthetic integration, especially in roof applications where decorative elements may be desired. In such cases, the color of the waterproof material should be considered during selection to achieve both functionality and visual appeal.
