The digital ultraviolet irradiance meter is a specialized instrument designed to measure the intensity of ultraviolet radiation at a wavelength of 253.7 nm. It utilizes advanced blind-tube UV sensor technology, which effectively minimizes interference from sunlight, ambient light, and other external factors. This ensures high measurement accuracy and reliable performance, making it ideal for precise UV monitoring in various environments.
Equipped with an automatic battery low-voltage indicator and data retention function, the device provides added convenience and reliability. The compact design makes it easy to carry and use, whether in the field or in a controlled setting. It is widely used in hospitals, public health departments, epidemic prevention agencies, chemical plants, electronics manufacturing facilities, food processing units, and entertainment venues to monitor the output of UV lamps.
The meter features a 312-bit LCD display, capable of showing readings up to 1999. Its measurement principle is based on double integral A/D conversion, with a sampling rate of approximately 3 times per second. The device can be stored in a room-temperature, dry environment (10–30°C, ≤85% RH). When the battery voltage drops, it displays "+++" to alert the user. If the reading exceeds the range, "OL" or "1" will appear at the top of the LCD.
It also includes a data retention function, indicated by the letter "H" on the display. The measurement wavelength is set at 254±10 nm, and the measuring angle allows for ±10° deviation from the vertical axis perpendicular to the sensor surface. The instrument offers two measurement ranges: 0–2000 µW/cm² and 0–20000 µW/cm², with the "×10" multiplier displayed below the LCD. The resolution is 1 µW/cm², ensuring precise readings.
Power is supplied by a 9V alkaline or carbon-zinc battery (model 6F22), with an estimated battery life of 200 hours for alkaline and 100 hours for carbon-zinc. The device consists of a display head measuring 149 × 71 × 41 mm, a probe sensor with dimensions Φ29 × 33 mm, and a 2-meter cable. The total weight is approximately 300 grams, including the battery.
This instrument complies with the Q/KWD001-2006 standard, ensuring quality and consistency in performance. Whether for routine checks or detailed UV analysis, this meter is a reliable tool for professionals working in UV-related fields.
