To determine if a wardrobe panel is made of high-density board or particleboard, examine the cut surface. High-density boards have tightly packed, fine fibers, making them dense and heavy. They can withstand greater pressure and last longer. In contrast, particleboard has a less compact structure, with visible small pores, and feels lighter in hand, resulting in a shorter lifespan.
2. **Smell for Environmental Safety**
The environmental friendliness of the panel can be judged by its formaldehyde content. If the free formaldehyde level is ≤9mg/100g, it meets the European E1 standard and is considered safe. A strong, irritating smell when opening the wardrobe door could indicate excessive formaldehyde levels. Another way is to ask the seller for a material testing certificate to ensure it meets national standards.
3. **Remember the Standard Dimensions**
