Because the water transfer paper is wood-based, it is very easy to expand and contract. It will expand and contract with temperature and humidity, and it will directly affect the color registration. The sheets that are generally purchased come with moisture-proof packaging. The degree of expansion after disassembly is very large. Therefore, before printing, we must put the cut-size paper on a drying rack and let it dry naturally for 7 to 8 hours. Under normal circumstances, the paper is well dried in the evening and can be used on the next morning as soon as it goes to work. It does not delay the production process. At this time, the paper has a smaller expansion and contraction rate under the temperature and humidity of the workshop, which facilitates overprinting.

General professional water standard workshops or home-style workshops should be equipped with air-conditioning, doors and windows sealed to prevent dust from falling into. In a production plant with a thermostat, the temperature can be controlled at 25°C and the humidity can be maintained between 65 and 70°.
