Keeping Corrugated Paper Printing Color Consistent and Placement Accurate

The main reasons for the inconsistence of the printed color shades and the running version are the poor control of the viscosity of the ink and ink, the unstable state of the ink transfer, the unstable state of the paper feeding, and the poor flatness of the paperboard. To maintain consistent color and layout accuracy for corrugated board ink printing, the following must be done:

1, to maintain the stability of the ink viscosity

The ink viscosity is the main indicator that needs to be controlled in the printing of corrugated cardboard. It is one of the main factors that affect the printing color condition. As the ink solvent volatilizes during the printing process, its viscosity will increase. In order to maintain the stability of the ink viscosity, the ink stabilizer should be added once every 0.5 hour and the amount added is 1% to 2%.

2, keep the amount of ink transfer stable

Because the printing speed is related to the ink transfer status, it is necessary to keep the printing speed balanced and stable. Balanced paper should also be maintained, and paper feeds cannot be separated. Only in this way can the ink printing machine have a stable state of ink transmission, which plays an important role in maintaining the stability of the printing ink color.

3, keep the paper feeding state stable

In addition to the stable operation speed of the printing press, the manual feed point should be fixed. For poorly flat cardboard, it should be handled properly, such as folding along one side (or both sides) of the cardboard transverse pressure line; The paper guide gaps should be the same, which is related to the important part of maintaining the stable operation of the paperboard, and it is also an important method to solve the "run version" phenomenon.

4, keep printing equipment in good condition

Keeping the anilox roll and printing plate clean and clean is directly related to the printing effect. Because the anilox roller is related to ink transfer performance, the printing plate is related to the clarity of printed text and patterns.

Improve die cutting accuracy

With the continuous enrichment of the carton printing process and the continuous improvement of the processing speed, the problems exposed by the die-cutting process are increasing. Reasonable control of waste production in the die-cutting process is another major issue in reducing the production costs of corrugated cartons. There are several reasons why the position of the die-cut indentation line does not match the position of the printed product:

1, die cutting knife production process error

Die cutting knife production methods are mainly manual plate making and laser plate making. The precision of laser plate making is relatively high, and the design and cutting are completed by computers and machinery, which is suitable for die-cutting of medium and high-grade packaging. The manual plate making method has a high requirement for the technical level of the plate-making person, and the plate-making machine is affected by various factors such as the technical level and experience of the plate-making person, and is suitable for short and medium-length packages with low precision requirements. Therefore, in order to obtain good die-cutting accuracy, advanced plate-making methods must be selected.

2, cardboard mouth pass rules are not uniform

All die-cutting machines themselves will produce precision errors. To improve die-cutting indentation accuracy, high-precision die-cutting machines must be selected. For example, if there is a large error in the size of the paperboard mouthwash, the rearward positioning of the die cutting machine (also referred to as secondary positioning) may be too small. This can be solved by adjusting the positioning and increasing the distance after the positioning.

3, die-cutting indentation and printing are not aligned


The solution is to recalibrate the die-cut version according to the product requirements, correct the printing and die-cutting indentation locations. In addition, it can also be corrected by adjusting the paper conveying side positioning rules or the front positioning rules, so that the die-cutting indentation line and the printing grid register.

4, die-cutting indentation and printing work environment caused by the cardboard fiber deformation or extension

Should ensure that the die-cutting indentation and printing in the same working environment or to ensure the same working environment (that is, the same temperature, humidity, etc.).

Solving the indentation line is not clear

The indentation line is not clear, which is one of the main reasons for the deterioration of corrugated boxes. The reason is mainly the dark line or the "broken line." The so-called dark line means that there should not be an indentation line; and the "broken line" means that due to excessive pressure die-cutting indentation, exceeding the tolerance of the cardboard fiber, so that the cardboard fiber Broken or partially broken. The causes of this failure are as follows:

1, indentation line and indentation mode selection is not appropriate

The type of indentation mold and the height of the indentation line can be selected as follows. When die-cutting corrugated cardboard:

Groove depth of indentation mold = corrugated paper pressure in real time

Groove width of indentation mold = paper thickness of 2 times corrugated paper + thickness of indentation line

Indentation line height = die cutter height - corrugated paper pressure in real time

2, Improper pressure adjustment of the press

The pressure regulating mechanism of the die-cutting machine should be adjusted to appropriately adjust the pressure of the die-cutting machine.

3, fixed pad thickness is not accurate paste paper

Because the pad is too low or too high, the adjustment method is to refill the pad.

4, poor paper or paper moisture content is too low

Increased brittleness of paper and reduced toughness can also result in blown lines, which can be solved by increasing the ambient temperature.
