The PZ 1-K Robotic Pallet Stacker in the Android series is provided by Emkon Systems Technologies. It is designed for medium speeds and maximum flexibility. It relies on IndraMotion from Bosch Rexroth for packaging automation solutions. The core hardware component of this control assembly is Bosch Rexroth's IndraControl L40, a high-speed, compact DIN rail mount unit that can process 1000 statements in 60 microseconds, integrating logic and motion control into one hardware Device.
The controller running software is IndraLogic, which has a built-in package processing function module that complies with the IEC 61131-3 standard. The same IEC standard also includes off-line programming software that drives Emkon's boxing feed system. The function module is used to interpret the syntax of off-line programming software. Regardless of the size of the box to be delivered to the robot tray stacker and regardless of the stacking mode invoked by the Emkon software, Bosch Rexroth's IndraLogic software translates the information into a description of the axis of motion that the robot terminal can accept without cost Time to write software that interfaces with boxing feeds.
This means that automated pallet stacking can be performed for a wide variety of boxes, and people can even use mixed pallets: A product X box, B product Y box, and so on. Offline programming tools can transfer packing and stacking parameters to Bosch Rexroth controllers so that robotic terminals can know exactly where they should be sent.
In this application there are a total of 6 axes of motion, all of which are driven by a Bosch Rexroth IndraDrive-controlled servomechanism; four of them are used to place boxes on pallets. This task was completed by a robot. It used a vacuum suction cup and a mechanical extraction device. The other two axes of motion were used to place the slip sheet between two trays. PZ 1-K can receive boxes from up to 6 infeed conveyors.
In addition, PZ 1-K can handle primary or secondary packaging, including cartons, bags, boxes, and even rolls weighing up to 50 pounds. Its uniqueness is that the module mounted on the roller is completely independent and can be used as a pallet stacking device for various purposes.
