Chen Youbiao, chairman of the company, told the reporter that Huaye Packaging, starting from the beginning of the business, stood at a higher starting point and did not produce low-level PVC film like other companies, but instead committed itself to developing and producing environmentally friendly packaging. The company's OPS shrink film, twisted film and PETG twisted film have not only added plasticizers and stabilizers with toxic side effects, but also are products that can be completely recycled and used to solve the problem of environmental pollution caused by traditional PVC films. .

According to Chen Youbiao, at present, most of the enterprises in China that need to export food products to Europe and the United States, most of them import a new generation of environmentally-friendly packaging films from Japan, but the prices of imported materials have remained high, causing huge cost burdens to enterprises. Because Huaye Company has its own development and production capabilities, coupled with strict quality and cost management, the company's products not only meet or exceed the quality and performance of similar foreign products, but also have a huge advantage of low prices. Chen Youbiao said that from the current situation, Huaye's environmental protection packaging film and the use of traditional PVC film prices are almost the same, which for food companies, is undoubtedly a major advantage: not only saves costs, but also crack the relevant countries Technical barriers to packaging materials in regions and regions are conducive to improving the international competitiveness of products. At the same time, the relevant authoritative departments also revealed that the National Development and Reform Commission also considered adding the traditional PVC film to direct contact with food and restricting the use of certain additives when revising relevant standards in China. “This will greatly promote the healthy development of the packaging industry. It is also conducive to enhancing the quality and safety of food products in China and improving the competitiveness of China's food products,” said Chen Youbiao.

The reporter visited Professor Zhao Yanwei, chief senior advisor of the Guangdong Packaging Technology Association. Zhao Yanwei said in an interview with reporters that at present, China's film PVC used in packaging materials occupies a certain percentage. It is understood that as of the end of 2004, only as a beverage trademark PVC heat shrinkable film reached more than 60,000 tons, becoming the highest in the world, and with the annual growth rate of more than 20% of China's beverage growth. If we add PVC twisted film, it is roughly estimated that there will be about 100,000 tons of PVC waste film awaiting disposal every year in the country. These waste films containing benzene ink are difficult to be recycled and reused, and they cannot be converted into energy by burning, such as power generation.

According to Zhao Yanwei, it is precisely because of this that many environmental protection agencies in the world have issued regulations to prohibit or restrict the heavy use of PVC. The National Development and Reform Commission has also placed on the agenda the amendments to relevant regulations in China and may prohibit the use of PVC film. Direct packaged foods, and it is expected that the revised draft will be introduced in the near future.
