【Purpose requirement】

1. Understand the main structure of the oscilloscope and the basic principle of displaying the waveform;

2. Learn to use an oscilloscope to observe the waveform and measure the voltage, period and frequency;

3. Learn to use a signal generator.

【Experimental Principle】

An electronic oscilloscope (oscilloscope for short) can display the waveform of an electrical signal. All electrical and non-electrical quantities that can be converted into voltage and their time-varying process (whether periodic or non-periodic) can be observed with an oscilloscope.

The oscilloscope mainly includes several parts: oscilloscope tube, amplifying system, scanning, trigger synchronization system and power supply system.

【Experiment content】

1. Turn on the oscilloscope and adjust the focus and position of the light spot;

2. Observe the scanning line of the oscilloscope;

3. Observe the vertical offset of the light spot on the oscilloscope and use it to measure the DC voltage;

4. Observe the sinusoidal AC voltage signal generated by the signal generator with an oscilloscope;

5. Measure the effective value and period (frequency) of the sine wave;

6. Observe other periodic signals with an oscilloscope.
