How to be a qualified leader

Based on personal experience, summarize some of the elements of being a good leader for everyone to discuss:

Before departure, do "three hearts":

1 There is a lot to know about the course of the route. It is not only necessary to make clear the planned route, but also to have a backup plan to facilitate adjustment.

2 The same thing goes with the number of friends who are with you. The greater the difficulty, the higher the overall quality of the players. When there are novices, do a good job with strong and weak. You must check your own status and equipment before you go.

3 Be aware of the weather and try to understand the possible weather changes during the event. In the event of unforeseen bad weather, we must dare to adjust or even cancel the activities.

A summary after the event:

Complete an activity and compare the actual implementation with the previous plan, see how much has been completed, analyze the reasons for the uncompleted part, and increase the ability to plan and execute. Finally, give yourself a score – if you are always far away from the plan, it means that you lack the conditions for being a good leader.

Leader's own quality requirements:

Strong sense of responsibility, good execution ability, good interpersonal communication, courage to admit mistakes, abundant outdoor knowledge and experience in the mountains, and cohesion.

Being a team leader is not going all the way forward. It's not that the more you drop your team members away, the more you don't want to be! I have met many times in this kind of activity that I lived in. A leader cannot maintain even the most basic formations, or don't do it!

As a team leader with his own skills and no matter how high his physical strength, he shouldn’t throw himself out of his own strength. In addition to maintaining a close relationship with the team's designated peaks and closings, the critical situation must be specifically directed by a deputy leader who must run before the team to help his teammates. (This is also the reason why the leader's physical strength is particularly high, not used to top it!)

Personal feeling: Now that we have a team of some of our mills, we are like a group of kindergarten children climbing and scattered sand.
