The system directs the airflow toward the stove, ensuring that the air drawn in by the range hood is continuously expelled. This helps guide the flue gases upward and prevents wind and smoke from overflowing, effectively managing the airflow from both the air curtain and the exhaust system. The suction from the machine is balanced, eliminating the negative pressure resistance typically created by an open range hood in a closed space. The air curtain’s airflow is immediately captured by the suction hood or the air supply smoke machine, so the air being removed isn’t coming from indoors. This eliminates issues like heat loss, cold drafts, and pollutants caused by opening doors or venting air during different seasons and weather conditions. Additionally, the air inlet pipe can be equipped with an air purification filter.
As a patented technology, this system solves the airflow resistance issue in closed kitchens. It uses the air curtain to create a barrier that directs fumes away, reducing the negative impact of traditional range hoods on indoor air quality. The design also offers energy efficiency, noise reduction, and quick, effective control of airflow. This is because the air curtain reduces indoor negative pressure to zero, allowing the fan to operate more efficiently. The fan power and speed can be optimized to create an effective airflow between cooking surfaces, similar to a natural wind effect, without requiring high pressure. As a result, the smoke motor doesn't need to be more powerful than current range hoods, and the fan speed can be reduced to lower noise levels.
Adjusting the airflow between different stoves is crucial for efficient smoke removal, especially during cooking. However, in a closed room, a single-suction range hood creates strong negative pressure, making it difficult to adjust the fan speed effectively—this is why people often still smell smoke while cooking. When the suction fan or range hood is combined with an air curtain stove or air curtain gas stove, the change in airflow volume becomes much more noticeable, allowing for quick adjustments. These benefits are only realized when the range hood or air supply smoke machine is paired with an air curtain stove.
Therefore, the design of the stove cover is expected to become a major trend in the future of kitchen smoke purification. In terms of integration, the smoke removal system paired with various types of range hoods and kitchen cabinets offers significant advantages in the overall kitchen ventilation system.
Chinese cooking techniques have shaped the need for specialized kitchen fume purification equipment that cannot be directly compared to foreign models. The dangers of kitchen smoke are well understood, yet current range hoods often fail to remove smoke effectively. Kitchen smoke pollution is a common part of daily life, and the kitchen is the most challenging area for air-conditioned homes, especially under northern winter heating policies. People want to maintain insulation while removing smoke, which makes the advantages of this system even more evident. Figure 1 shows the overall kitchen smoke removal system; Figure 2 illustrates the air supply smoke machine; and Figure 3 demonstrates the combination of the smoke removal system with the air curtain stove.
