Digital display low temperature bath features and operation precautions

Digital display thermostats are widely used in laboratories and industrial environments for precise temperature control. These devices feature a fully enclosed compressor refrigeration system, ensuring efficient and stable cooling performance. They allow users to set upper and lower temperature limits with alarms, providing enhanced safety and control. The inlet temperature control program ensures smooth and consistent operation, while multiple overheating and overcurrent protection mechanisms safeguard the device from potential damage. Additionally, these thermostats come with a power failure protection function that allows a 3-minute delay after power loss, preventing sudden shutdowns during critical experiments. The XMT analog-digital PID automatic control system offers accurate temperature regulation, with an LCD display for easy monitoring. A built-in circulation pump enables the external introduction of constant-temperature liquid from the tank, creating a second stable temperature field. The cold liquid can also be externally directed, allowing direct low-temperature experiments within the tank itself. The digital low-temperature bath is constructed using high-quality stainless steel inside and out, with a simple cast iron shell and a pulley-based bottom design (with foot-operated wheels for mobility). This makes the unit both durable and user-friendly. The thermostat incorporates advanced temperature control technology, achieving precision up to 0.05°C for water media and 0.1°C for oil, ensuring reliable performance across a wide range of applications. Internal and external circulation systems are available. Internal circulation helps maintain uniform temperature distribution by circulating the liquid medium, reducing fluctuations. External circulation allows the pump to connect with external equipment via insulated hoses, forming a closed loop that maintains a stable external temperature field. When using the digital thermostat, it's important to keep the area around the unit clear of obstacles. Ensure the power supply is sufficient to handle the device’s requirements, and consider opening the external loop for optimal performance. Always refer to the user manual for proper selection of liquid media. For temperatures between 5°C and 85°C, water is typically used. Between 85°C and 95°C, a 15% glycerol solution is recommended, and above 95°C, oil is preferred—ensuring the oil’s flash point is at least 50°C higher than the operating temperature. The unit features a movable pulley at the bottom, which should be locked when in use to prevent accidental movement. High-power models require careful attention to electrical safety, and the Percival cryostat uses a three-prong plug with a ground wire. When adding liquid, ensure the level is above the heater to avoid dry heating, and monitor the low-level alarm to prevent damage. Never look directly into the tank when it's at high temperatures, especially if oil is used, as splashing may occur. For units with external circulation, it’s advisable to activate the pump cycle during low-temperature operations to prevent ice formation and ensure more stable temperature control. After use, always turn off the device and disconnect the power, clean it thoroughly, and store it in a well-ventilated area to avoid moisture buildup.
