Paper and board properties

Understand the performance of paper, rational use of the characteristics of different paper, will play a great role in the final visual effect of packaging design.

A. Paper surface properties: refers to smoothness, hardness, adhesion, powder off properties, etc.

B. Paper physical properties: refers to the paper's quantification, thickness, strength, bending, texture orientation, softness, folding degree and so on.

For example, when designing glass bottle stickers, the lines of the paper should usually be printed and pasted in the horizontal direction, so that the bottles can be adhered firmly. Otherwise, the longitudinal lines are easily deformed, start running, and fall off and affect the appearance.

C. Paper printing performance: different paper will affect the printing effect, such as smoothness, ink absorption, hardness, off powder and so on.
